FAQs

HOW CAN I JOIN THE FELLOWSHIP?

Periodically we offer Exploring Membership, a one-session class offered during church service hours and designed to answer questions about The Fellowship, church membership, our member covenant, and our mission. After attending Exploring Membership, baptized believers are invited to sign a Member Covenant which outlines the expectations for members in good standing at The Fellowship Round Rock.

WHY DOES THE FELLOWSHIP HAVE ELDERS AND WHAT DO THEY DO?

The New Testament model of church leadership is a plural body of elders appointed to care for, lead, teach and shepherd the church, and guard its doctrine. This is the example that Paul set and the earliest churches followed.
(Acts 14:21-23, 20:17-18, 1 Tim. 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, Heb. 13:7, 17)
At The Fellowship, these men are entrusted with unified decision-making, and they are accountable for the good stewardship of the church’s resources. If you need to contact them, they can be reached by email.

ARE THERE ANY WEEKDAY MEETINGS?

There are occasional weekday activities, but the majority of our ministry takes place in LifeGroups meeting throughout the week. For a complete list of events taking place at The Fellowship, visit the News page.

HOW SHOULD I DRESS SUNDAY MORNING?

On Sunday morning, the important thing is that you’re at church expecting to meet with God. What you’re wearing is not nearly as important as the attitude you come with. So the dress is casual - you’ll see people in everything from shorts and athletic shoes to sport coats and ties. Most people just dress comfortably; not too casual, but not too dressy either.

WHAT IS A TYPICAL SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICE LIKE?

The atmosphere is casual, but there’s a lot of energy. We’re excited about what God is doing here and we reflect that in our services. And although there’s a relaxed and comfortable feel about being here, we’re very intentional about the elements of the Sunday morning worship service. We don’t give self-help messages, we unapologetically preach the Bible. We worship a holy God through song, and we’re deliberate about the doctrine being taught in the lyrics. Intermittently throughout the year, we observe two ordinances - baptism and communion - sometimes on Sunday mornings and other times during special services.

WHERE CAN I FIND OUT ABOUT SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES?

Information about mission trips and local opportunities can be found on the Missions page. To find out about needs within the church, such as Greeting Team or Parking Team, etc, you can visit the Opportunities page under the Missions tab.

I HAVE A PRAYER REQUEST. WHERE CAN I SEND IT?

We have an ongoing list of requests sent weekly to people committed to pray for needs. If you would like to know people are praying for you, submit your request on our Contact page.
